MURRAY, Ky. -- KVRA's vintage coupes and sedans compete Friday at Paducah International Raceway, but next week's event at PIR will be on Thursday, July 30, rather than the usual Friday night date.

Also, KVRA president and founder Mark Moore announced that another Friday night event, in September at Camden (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, has been moved to Saturday night, Sept. 12 and a race has been tentatively scheduled at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Ala.

KVRA will be part of Paducah's NASCAR Night II special event on July 30. The vintage cars take the night off as PIR presents its regular program the next evening, and KVRA moves on to a Saturday night date at Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway on Aug. 1.

Camden promoter John Slaton has a two-night super late model show at his west central Tennessee oval in September and is dividing his regular program into two nights. KVRA will be part of the second night of competition.

North Alabama Speedway will be a new venue for KVRA. Doug McKleroy's 3/8-mile banked dirt oval is located west of Tuscumbia in the northwest corner of Alabama. The Friday night event is tentatively set for the night before an Oct. 10 visit to Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tenn.

Sixteen races are in the books already in this third season for KVRA. Dave Davidson is the leading race winner with eight feature victories. Chad Fritsche and Mark Moore have two wins apiece and Brian Steele, Josh Throgmorton, Jason Bailey and Mike Moore each have one win.
