MURRAY, Ky. -- A KVRA event at Western Kentucky Speedway originally scheduled for Saturday night, Aug. 22, has been moved back a week, to Aug. 29.

KVRA president and founder Mark Moore announced the change after a request from Tammy Coble, promoter of races at the 3/8-mile dirt oval in northern Hopkins County, in the Nebo community.

WKS has a special event scheduled for Aug. 22. The CJ Rayburn National Late Model Series drivers will compete in the Wayne Coakley Memorial & Marshall Coakley Memorial.

The weekend of Aug. 28-29 was previously an open date on the KVRA calendar.

KVRA has competed five times at WKS, the site of the vintage series' inaugural event on April 21, 2007. Dave Davidson was the feature winner in the most recent visit, May 16 of this year.

The next event for the series is Saturday night at Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway.
