Tonight's program is the second of a two-race weekend for KVRA, which was at Paducah International Raceway last night. Josh Throgmorton of Providence, Ky., won the feature, which was red-flagged after completion of 10 of 12 scheduled laps because of a violent rollover crash by Mike Moore of Newburgh, Ind. Coincidentally, the KVRA event at Western Kentucky Speedway on April 26, 2008, had a similar conclusion because of a violent crash suffered by Moore's son, Mike Moore Jr., and Bryan White. ...

THE COMPETITORS of KVRA honor America's military in acknowledgement of Armed Forces Day tomorrow and in next weekend's Memorial Day holiday weekend. KVRA will be idle on next weekend May 22-25. The series offers a salute to the members of America's Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard who gave their lives and who are the subjects of remembrance on this holiday, and we also thank the personnel serving today and in past years to protect America's freedom.
We also thank Western Kentucky Speedway for having us as a part of many of its racing programs for the third season in a row. We're proud to be part of the show.
KENTUCKY VINTAGE RACING ASSOCIATION is based in Murray, Ky. The series features full-sized modern racing chassis and powertrains with original steel bodies of American-made automobiles, 1948 and older. They are fully powered racing machines, not dwarf or legends cars.
